How to Take a Screenshot on Your PC using the PrintScreen key

If you want to save the entire screen or just a piece of it, we’ve listed up all the standard techniques for taking a screenshot in Windows 10 OS.

The simple way to save a copy is on your computer screen is to press the Print Screen on your keyboard. It’s usually labeled “PrtScn” (or something similar), and it locates in the top row, among the Function keys.

On some keyboards (most laptops), you will need to hold the function(‘Fn’) key and press the Print Screen.

Windows features several PrintScreen variations:

Press PrtScn: This will copy the full screen to the clipboard, and You can paste the screenshot into any software that shows images, like Paint or Microsoft Word.

Alt + PrtScn: This copies the lively window to the clipboard, which you can paste into any other software.

Windows key + Shift + S:

The screen will get white, and the mouse pointer will change. You can drag to choose an element of the screen to capture. The screenshot copy to the clipboard, which you can paste into any other image view program. (Require the latest version of Windows 10 installed)

Press the Windows key + PrtScn: This will saves the complete screen as a picture file. You can locate it in the “Pictures” folder, in a subfolder known as ‘Screenshots.’

How to take a Screenshot using Snipping Tool

In Windows 10, there is a much more flexible screenshot selection PC in Windows 10 called Snipping Tool.

Snipping Tool can help you grab a screenshot and save it as a picture file without first pasting it to another program.

1. Go to Start and find the Snipping Tool from the Start menu.

2. Click New and select the area you want to take the screenshot. Also, you can choose the shape of the screenshot in Mode.
